Anne Frank and Nature

The Franks were not allowed to leave their annex while in hiding from the Nazis for two years. As a young teenager who craved information and hands-on experiences, not being able to go out in nature everyday was difficult. Anne did find enjoyment in the window of the attic they had. Through the window, a chestnut tree was visible and it sometimes served as a beacon of hope.
